I have an 06 F-350 Crew Cab 4x4 with Spartan Phalanx, running the standard tow tune. Last week made a trip to the U.P. pulling my new 26' V-nose enclosed trailer with 3 sleds and 4 guys in the rig. The best I can guess is the trailer weighed in at just shy of 4000#. Egt's were held in check, never saw anything over 950 on any of the grades. However boost levels would spike @ 28psi on occasion during some of the longer grade climbs. I was running 72mph with the cruise set most of the time. I will be heading back up in a few weeks potentially pulling a 28' trailer with 4 to 5 sleds and 4 or 5 guys. Just rolled 35,000 miles on the truck. No studs at this time. Anything alarming here to worry about?
FYI
From My experiance pulling sleds with my 05 6.0 is that fords hate tugging around Ski dont's. If your hauling Arctic Cats around you will be fine and Polaris is questionable. Does Yamaha make snowmobiles anymore??? or just musical instruments!!!
Good luck and I think you will be fine...Might have to hook you up for a UP ride sometime... If you want to go out west to the steep and deep let me know..

Yea, I'm pulling around a new Ski dont Renegade 800 E-tec. I'd love to head west sometime and ride something vertical.
Just rolled 600 miles last weekend. Not a hiccup yet. I really like the 136" track length for bridging the bumps. It is noticeable. Headed to Big Bay in the U.P. in a couple weeks for 5 days. Going to ride Kewenau etc., deep powder. Alot of comments on Doo Talk about Tug Hill. What's special about that area?
The 800 E-tec motor pulls really hard, sneaky fast. Mileage is great when comparing to a couple other guys I ride with. 800 Polaris and Cat's. Oil consumption I'm not sure on yet. I just passed the break in point and will begin to see more accurate oil use now.

Sorry guys I gotta get in on this...Cat's only for me
If it aint a cat it's a DOG!!! and they don't call em piston poppin polaris for nothing!!! Just kidding! Anyone who sleds is ok by me even if you do ride a ski dont.
I just got back from Steamboat Colorado and my Arctic Cat M1000 153" Ran like a top (thanks speedwerx). Wish I could have said the same about my 6.0!!! Had to put my second Alternator on this truck while I was out west. Two alternators in 72,000 miles........I hope this one goes longer than the last one!! Other than that the truck ran and pulled GREAT.
Tug Hill is only special to the East because they are about 1000 feet higher than anywhere else in the area and they get tons of lake effect snow. They have snow when no one else does, so people come from miles around to sled there. They have a pretty decent trail system as well.
