trucks a 01 f-250 7.3psd

jared not sure trans is overheating so i was curious to were the cooler is on one of these newer trucks

That is the power steering cooler (small one) the other is the air conditioning condenser. The trans cooler is behind that.

no i didnt mess wit it just took both lines off the trans and put one end in a pail and blew it out w/ air compresser some small little black chunks came out with some creamy white w/ red trans fluid. Would running dual coolers be a good idea

Sounds like water got into the tranny. I would flush the transmission.

same thing i was thinking but when i looked up all the snow was melting and there was some small pieces of ice

I have something right behind the grill that i think is the transmission cooler, i think someone moved it cause it had square bolts in it, i don't even know if its a stock one or a bigger one.
