Truck Size

Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone knows the dimensions of a 67-72 vs. a 61-66?
Are the 67's much larger? I used to drive both early and late sixties trucks when I was a kid and thought the earlier ones seemed smaller, as my foggy memory recalls.

Also, what kind of transmission attaches to the I-6 engine?
Any issues with putting a 302 into a 65-66 truck?
Thanks to all.

Paul

No issues with a 302 install but you need to use the corect perches/metal engine stands and install them in the back set of holes in the frame, stands from a 70 to 79 f100/250 that came with a 302 will work correctly. transmissions for a I6? standard 3 speed or a C-4 automatic would work, maybe others. 240-300 I6's have the same bolt pattern as the SBF 289-302.

Stands from a 69 to 79 F100, 1975/79 F150 that came with a 302 will work correctly, as will 1977/79 F100/350 2WD 351M/400 cuz they're the same.
Made a coupla changes and added more info. No 302's in F250's until 1980. C6 was an option in 1978/79 F100/150 302's. 1969/77 = C4 only.

Paul, The Bumps & Slicks share the same chassis, the bump may be a little more boxier than the slick, but there aint a lot of difference between them.
