Um, how do I put this? STAY AWAY!!! Far, Far away from DPS unless you really don't like your truck, or you enjoy having to work on it more than you do now. Or both. Products lack quality and zero customer support. You have been warned.

Oh and for the studs, Copied from Oilburners.com:

ARP does not offer a stud kit for our motors but... They offer a 7 inch stud. The part number is AR7.00-LB... This is a stud 1/2 13 threads on the bottom and 1/2 20 threads on the top. The nuts are ARN12-1 and the washers are ARW78N. Be careful when you install them. The instructions are to torque them tight and loosen them up 5 times. Thats a lot of work. What your doing is decreasing the friction between the threads, nut and washer. It does make a big differance in final torque. My studs and nuts moved about 3/4 turn when I was done... They also sell a great molly lube which will reduce the friction too. In their instructions they show the differance in 30 wt oil and the molly lube. The torque is 130 lbs with 30 wt oil and 100 lbs with the molly lube.

They will give good power, but only if you run WFO all the time and really don't care about fuel milage. They have a horrible reputation and only 1 or 2 guys didn't have issues with them. There's a video on Oilburners comparing the spray pattens of these and stockers. Basically these just dump fuel into the precup (if they even work).

They've been out for a number of years, they just haven't been able to produce reliable products. The "machining" to the pintles look like they've been done with a grinder. And, from the posts by those that have tried them, maybe half or more of the injectors leak right off the bat. About the only power products are the Moose pump and injectors. Spendy, but the quality is there.

yeah, unfortunately out of the price range for most idi owners is the only problem with the "moose" stuff.
not many people willing to pay big $ for the old gals.true, there are a many nice older rigs around still, but most have become old and not worthy of such investments anymore.
this is why im sure we see all the turbo's starting to close their doors on the IDI's. few and far between will pay as much for a new turbo as they did their whole truck.
ahh well.that's the way she goes.
(i personally do have a ip from Mel planned @ 100k though.along with a set of matched injectors from Russ.)

Very true. No one wanted to try anything while these were newish and now it's a bit too late for most. I have some injectors from Russ and will do a Baby Moose later when my IP dies.
A while back I nabbed a factory turbo from the wreckers and called a buddy that wanted one. Turned out he decided to sell his truck and get a newer one so I sold the turbo to someone else. A month later my buddy changed his mind and sprung for a new Banks....

I think I bought one of the last sets of Stage 1's from Ken that were good.

He, just like everyone else moved on to the Power Stroke engine performance parts.

And just like when everyone else moved on, the IDI parts quality and support kinda got left behind.

Ceramic coated pistons, I would never use.
They are not all that they are cracked up to be.
Might be OK for a race motor, but not for an every day driver or work rig.
There are better places to put that money.
