I have a 05 excursion,at low speeds the steering feels loose and the truck tends to wander a bit,but higher speeds (70 +) its good and tight with no wander at all.is there a simple correction for this?

There's a bolt on the steering rack. Tighten it to tighten your steering.

Also, check ball joints, tire pressure.
