Guys, I see some new code in this machine but nothing that looks bad.. yet. We'll have to wait and see what the admin says.
I'm not seeing any new code in mine, so I'm hoping that I was just getting alerts from my programs as to things that it kept from getting on to my machine. I'll keep looking though. This is my design computer so I have to make sure it doesn't get infected with something.
I was also having problems very time I click on a page a whole bunch of pop up windows open up. I ran a virus scan on my whole pc and it found nothing. On my browser I went into tools; options; security; (warn me when sites try to install add ons) Exceptions; and I found address in there I did not allow. I removed them and had no problem since.
I saw the virus this a.m. Logged in from work using IE. We have symantec endpoint protection and it caught it and wouldn't allow the page to load. It must be in one of the ads because I hit refresh and different ads popped up and didnt see the issues that time.

No problem at all logging in or moving from thread to thread, I do get a bleep each thread or logging off telling me that my pop up blocker is working.
It is all fixed now. Since I am not a technical web guru, the virus you detected was your scanner saying it looked like it, and warned you. We had no virus floating around so you can relax.
The pop up was the problem, redirecting. The guys did a good job searching for the problem, especially for a weekend.
Get an apple and have no problems they don't get viruses
Yea, they do it's just about efficiency though. Why make a virus that will only affect 10% of the computing population when you can make a virus that affects 90% of that population?
