STANCOR GPR

I'm needing a new glow plug relay and I have read that some people are using the STANCOR - 586-903. Do you guys have anything good to say about this. If it works, it would say me about $20 over the NAPA relay. Thanks for your time.

I recommend the Stancor. Better built and will last longer than oem

OK, this maybe a stupid question but here it goes. The 902 relay is a 12V and the 903 is a 15V, both 200amp. Would it be better to go with the 15V or is that to much and I should stay with the 12V. Thanks

I'd say run the 802-586-902, I think that's what most are running myself included. I don't know that the 15v would be 'better', as it's a 12v system. Someone can correct me if they think the 15v would be better but i don't see how it would

no stay with the 12v one for sure. measure how many volts you have while the GPs are engaged and you are cranking. it will drop below 12v.

Does anyone have an old Stancor around. I would like to have one working or not to check the fit on a Cali truck.

I really need to have one in hand. The Cali trucks have a "shunt" mounted across the gp terminals.

I have the stock gpr and my Stancor, Are you just trying to see if the studs are the same distance apart?

It's a little more than that. The shunt is a metal piece that mounts across the relay studs and is attached to another bracket that the gp wires connect to.
