I have a 88' Bronco (5.8efi) with the 3speed non-OD tranny, its having real trouble shifting when I floor it almost as if it were slipping, but the fluid is full what is going on here? could it be a electronic problem? or mechanical? if the tranny is not willing to cope with me and my impatient self then would it be possible to put the E4OD in my bronco without changing the computer or would I have to swap the computer as well? please help here i'm in deep @#$%
The three speed automatic is non-electronic, so you can safely rule out the electronics causing your problem.
If you install an E4OD you will need a computer for a 5.8L with E4OD and the wiring harness for that setup. You might also need to add some sensors, I can't remember if your truck would already have everything you need. It's a really big, involved swap.
