79 tranny question
own a 79 4x4 with 300 6 have a chance to buy 79 with a 351m will the tranny from the 351 match up with the 300?

No, 351m is big block(400, 429, 460), 300 is small block(302, 351W, 351C)

If you have a standrd transmission you should be able to find a bellhousing that will bolt up to a 351M with out much problem.

Any standard tray will swap with the appropriate bellhousing.

Automatics need to stay within the family i.e. small block, big block and FE
