Well I am no longer a Ford owner for the first time in 23 years. I wanted to get a new 2010 F150 Supercab but the local dealerships were not willing to make me a decent deal, I could hardly get anyone to even come out when I was looking. I ended up with a 2010 Nissan Titan SE w/ a 5.7L V8, they took $7,000 off MSRP and gave me $7,000 for my old truck. I walked out the door with a brand new truck for a little over $22,000. It's been great being on this forum, thanks for all the help and advice!
What would you consider decent?
I guess is that the salesmen did not want to pressure you.
You get what you pay for.
That said, take care and enjoy your new truck.

Good luck with the Titan. Note that your engine is a 5.6, not a 5.7. One of my son's friends had an early one from brand new. It was a nice truck but had a lot of drivetrain problems. I think they used a modified Dana 44 as a rear axle and there were a LOT of problems since the 44 is about right for a small Jeep.
They are still selling the same truck as in 2004, the first year, so it's an old design. I think they sold about 20,000 Titans in 2010 versus about half a million Ford pickups, so they pretty much do have to give them away. They got a pretty bad rap in Consumer Reports for those early years.
Dodge was supposed to start making the Titan for 2011, but that deal seems to have gone sour with the Fiat deal.
Hope you have a good experience with the Titan,
George

Yup, hit the wrong number 5.6 not 5.7. Nissan did change the rear axle in 08, they did have a lot of problems with it but not on the newer trucks. I don't think any manufacturer is free from problems, lots of Fords have had problems too (blown spark plugs for one), BTW mine had blown a rear main seal a couple weeks before the trade and the alternator had gone out just recently). The Ford dealership would only take $2000 off MSRP and would only give me $4000 for my old F150, KBB listed trade in at 6-8 K. Was my truck pefect, no but I had under 90k miles, 7700 package, new exaust, had just done the rear main and alternator, remote start, etc and was well taken care of, dealership basically said it was not worth anything. I've had 4 Fords and my wife has had 3 Nissans in the 20+ years we have been together, We have never had any problems with hers, in fact some of the parts on her Pathfinder have the Ford logo on them. My truck came out of the Nissan factory in Canton, Ms. Still love Ford, just going in a different direction right now, when this is paid off I hope to get a Mustang, dad had a 67 convertable as I was growing up.
Enjoy it, but when you want something American Made with TONS of choices for upgrades, I'm sure we'll see you back in a Ford.
Is Ford 100% American made - NOT, as with most vehicles a large portion of the parts are contracted out, some made in the US and some made in other places world wide. My truck was assembled in Canton Ms. by good old American hands. My wifes Pathfinder was assembled in Smyna, Tenn. and both engines came out of an nissan engine plant in Decherd, Tenn.
