Welcome! Nice truck! Got to love a classic truck with a V8 and a 4spd!

Do you know your truck is missing it's teeth?

Haha thanks, the truck is rough around the edges and the snaps where allready there. Paint is my last thing to do i guess.

I really want to get some aluminum heads, and maybe a nice size hair dryer or squeezer! haha. But I gotta get the suspension figured out and the steering. Still all original, kind of a handfull currently. I just want to go with midffity.com's short and smooth stack spring kits. But im lost about the steering. I want to get rid of that tall ungodly dangerous steering column an the sloppy steering box (tried adjusting), and get something nice but really dont NEED power steering. Id really like to get into some drag racing after I get it a little more safer, is that a word?

Any advise greatly appreciated!!!

Lol, and yea just married the other ride in september

Sounds like you have some plans for it then. If it were me since the truck runs I would get the steering/suspension taken care of first. You might want to think about a mustang II ifs, it would fix all your problems plus you would then have power steering. If thats not your flavor you could always get a new steering column and the springs you mentioned. Which ever route you go is up to you but if your truck runs, enjoy it and fix the stuff that needs it first...

Is there any non p/s boxes that will work with a shorter colum? Really dont want to drop the coin for a ifs, but then again they are getting cheap I guess for what you get. Id rather not have power steering really just a tighter steering and shorter column

I might be wrong but I believe there was a manual version of the toyota truck steering box that you could use with the toyota ps swap kits.
