Spline count?!!?! 9"
Afternoon All, watchin the game and FTE,,, multi-taskin at it's best! Oh yeah,, got beer too! Life IS good!!
Anyways,,, stock 66 F100 what would be the spline count,,, my 77 has 31,, but is also has factory lim-slip,,,what would my 66 have,, would like to know without pullin it apart,, my first 66 had 28,, don't know what was standard.

Have ya got extra tall tires?
Maybe a 3.70....used to be pretty common....

highway speed was a leisurely 55-60 and still got 15mpg.
I prefer the slight power advantage of 4.10's over windin him out going up grades in 3rd with 3.50's,,,,

Surely you don't have tires as tall as your F250 had, do you? A couple inches of tire height makes a big difference.

Had 265/75/16 on my 66 F250,,, about 31 1/2" or so
waitin for my new tires for my 66 F100 265/70/15 about a 30 1/2" or so,,,, I will drive it with them for a bit and see,,,
