Does anyone know of a newer vehicle that has wheel cylinders simular to that of a '52 F-1 that could be used with little work? Or how about a cheap place to get new ones? Thanks.
Hi, I actually bought 4 wheel cylinders for my 54 this afternoon from Advance Auto Parts. im not sure about a newer vehicle with similar cylinders, but for my truck they cost about 12 bucks each. I told him what i needed them for and i nearly passed out when he told me that they were all in stock! lol they work nicely also! Thanx AJ
Clayton,
Here's some more info in case your parts house catalog can't go back far enough. One of my catalogs lists one part number for the left front '48-60, and another part number for the right front '48-60. They are 1-1/16" bore. The next grouping is '61-64, then '65-67, then '68-71 w/ 1-1/8" bore.
Rears are grouped '48-early 54 with 1" bore, then late'54-72 with 7/8" bore.
Good Luck!
Brett
