TPS ????

what are some tel tale signs that a TPS is not working properly?

A TPS code from the computer, or it fails the tests in the Haynes manual.

Mine went out last spring... telltale signs. Funny idle...idles high. Mine would die on my when I'd go down hills... be drivin and when I let off the gas... dead! Really pissed me off... Use a scanner and check if its going bad...

You don't need a scantool for '84-95 MAP trucks - check out that link or a Haynes manual and you'll see how to do it with a paperclip.

TPS ????

well i thought that mabye a bad TPS was causing my truck to "chugg" or buck really bad under acceleration but i think it was water in the gas i got and it wasnt throwing any codes. but now i used some intake cleaner on my truck and i get code "332" insuficent egr flow how do i fix that???

The computer doesn't actually measure the EGR flow - it just throws that code if the EVP doesn't show that the EGR is opening. Diagnose the EGR, EVP, EVR, and the vacuum system that operates the EGR.
