id really like to wheel alaska.
your gas estimate is WAY off. u forget gass prices skyrocket in canada. im sure theyre high in AK as well. if i did a trip like that i would want to have my most prepared 4x4 from my fleet be the one i take. and if the Ranger goes the way im thinking its going to, i dont want to listen to 4D inch LTBs for 4000 miles. just dont want to.
if i had an extra 30k laying around, my house was paid off and had no kids to feed or be responsible for, then yea id probably go. i dont have any kids but i dont forsee the rest of that stuff happening anytime soon. not to mention the vehicle being discussed is in pieces...
