To the guys that work on these trucks all the time. I finally had to replace my GPs. 4 of the eight were dead. (No, I didn't take pictures, I hardly take pictures on vacation) Decided to replace the UVC harnesses as well. Clay at Riffraff got them out to me in record time and Adam and myself started in. Old, arthritic hand and VC bolts do not go together well. Finally got both sides done and everything, include the new RiffRaff boots back on. Who ever thought putting those bolts on the back side or the two beside the HVAC stuff must have known they would never pull them. The harness is a bi**h in itself. The wires are just long enough to fit, that's it, no extra at all. Again old fingers and small places. Anyway, Got all put back together, wiped the blood off everything, (tie wraps are Sharp when you cut them) and cranked it up. ONE WORD OF ADVICE, LOOK AT EVERYTHING AND IF YOU HAVE AN AE, BUZZ YOUR INJECTORS BEFORE YOU PUT THE VC BACK ON. No reason for that remark, just saying........ but yeah, one cover had to come back off and the harness for the #4 injector had to be snapped on. Oh Well, ****e happens.
It's amazing how those little plastic tie wraps that have been cut off will cut you so fast. And you don't even know it until you look like you been in a cat fight.
Drivers side back.side use swivel, and on the passanger side use a rench through the wheel well and you should have every thing out in about 30 minutes.

I fixed someones van one time, and her dad was a farmer that thought he was a mechanic.
All the wires were bunched together with metal hay wire.
He had taken apart and put together the wiring so many times that there was barely a piece longer than 12" that had not been spliced yet.
All that was wrong, 2 wires were mixed up for the rear lights, but it took almost all day because I was so damned confused and working slow cause of all the wire.
That was all that was wrong since over a year ago when he started tearing it apart, just never happened to get it just right.
Barry your correct I have never seen that. But you do always get some good pictures of others doing it.
You are correct my friend, you are correct. And If all goes as planned, that will be the case again this year.

And your point is?......... Like I tell them at work, They pay me for what I know, not what I do... I can do it, but if at all possible, I don't. My back feels like jello now. Be lucky if I don't need an injection in my spine next week. Just not able to do it like I use to. Which reminds me, I will have somethings for you to do at RRE.
