knocking
after do a oil change , i notice the engine start to make a noise as a loose chain, or some knock, i use synthetic 10-30 oil, never happen before, im afraid may need some adjustment inside of the engine,
what is the symptoms for a bad oil pump ?, or a timing chain?
the truck still running ok, however this noise a bit loud when start the truck, after drive a few blocks the sound disappear
any idea what could be wrong?

Which engine does your 2002 Explorer have? Does the oil filter you used have a backflow preventer? What multi-viscosity oil does the owner's manual recommend? I suspect it's supposed to have 5W-20.

Yeah, use only high end oil filters, and use the proper 5w20 or 5w30 oil. Since you are having a mechanical noise, I would remove a quart of oil and replace it with Rislone. That should dissolve whatever is plugging stuff up, and it just helps get the lubrication back where it should be. After that, just use the proper oil

well . today this sound not appear,
looks this explorer is too delicate with the oil... , so i will check the manual and install the recommended oil,
what a bout oil filter? I use the regular "fram" from autozone, which oil filter do you recommend?
