Need help identifing engine !

Engine Code above the starter is D2AE-CA above that is 3D13 . On the rear of the block is 3A278439. Can somebody help me out here?

It's a 351 Cleveland cast April 13th 1973.

Thanks for the info. Any idea of the best place to get more information like engine specs., rebuild kits etc. ?

Hard to say what the specs are without more info like what heads are on it, etc. It could be a "run of the mill" Cleveland with 2V heads and 2 bolt mains or it could be a 4 bolt main 4V, Boss 351 or 351C CJ. If you can get some casting numbers from the heads post 'em here. There are some very knowledgable and helpful folks that hang out here.

Lots of places to get rebuild kits, P.A.W. Summit, Jegs, local speed shop...take your pick.

There are 22s cast into the corners of the heads. I'm guessing this means 2V 2bolt mains?

pretty much.

the 2's in the corners indicates thatthey are the 2V heads. to date i have not seen any 4 bolt main 2v clevelands. but having said said that, ford has done some dumb things for the stupidist reasons, but dont hold your breath.
