This is the casting number found on and for the transmission case only, it is not the trans ID number.

I cannot do anything with it, as casting numbers cannot be cross referenced to Ford part numbers.

With the C6 prefix, there are two different C4 trans cases that could apply, one was only used in 1965/69 Galaxie/LTD's. The other is everything else thru 1970.

The C4's ID tag was bolted to one of the 4 bolts that retains the servo cover (drivers side) to the case. It's prolly missing by now.
