My blower just quit on me. It's a 76 ford with an ac box, although the ac stuff is not there. I have checked the fuse box and have power there. Any one have any idea what the problem may be. It's cold in North Alabama and I really like to be warm.
Could be the switch. Fans usually don't just quit without warning. They will run noisy as all get out with bearings that are going out. Even if the brushes are going out it takes a while for them to quit. If you're handy, you can American ingenuitize a wire to the fan until you can do a proper repair on it.
Make sure the ground for it is good, try a test light from the positive post on the battery to the fan motor, it should light up with the truck on.
+1 on figuring out the wiring on my new cab, i couldnt for the life of me get the blower to work. i had power to the motor using a test light but nothing happening. then i saw a ring lug hanging out of the harness under the hood. touched it to the fender and the blower came to life
