I have a 2011 f250. The right and left turn signals are blinkling really fast when I activate them. No bulbs are out. I think it might be the flasher? But I don't know where it is located on the truck? Also the emergency flashers act at a Normal rate. Its just the left and right signals.
Last time I had that happen it was on an older truck, but it was a bad relay. It was located under the drivers side dash. Square metal, plug in type. But who knows with these trucks. Good luck.
Probably a bad ground somewhere. Thats been the cause on a few vehicles I've owned. Hope its still under warrenty because it could be a real pain to find it.
do you happen to have LEDs instead of incandescent?
LED's don't show the same load to the computer, and so the computer signals that a light is out... However, your flashers might either show enough load or not have the bulb-out signal coded in.
2011's do not have flashers... those have been extinct for a while... it's all programming now.
So, there is no flasher to replace? I want to instal LED's and an not keen on having to install resistors trick the system. Could the "computer" be reprogramed for LED's?
Yes. You just have to go to the dealer and tell te to either turn off the "bulb out" feature, or I think there is an option for LED. what lights are you looking at installing?
