I have just manufactured a rear seat riser for supercab trucks. Instead of spending 100 bucks or so, all you need is a couple of feet of 3 1/2 inch steet channel. cut the channel into four pieces and then drill coresponding holes to match up with the factory bolt pattern on the seat supports and backrest supports. Re - bolt the assembly onto the channnels (risers) and you are done. If you want to purchase some seat belt extensions you can get them fairly cheaply at a parts store
When I raised mine, I also cut small pieces of the same steel to bolt to the floor board, then bolted the seatbelts to. It worked very well and let me run a set of 10" subs set upright under the seat. Good luck, Hippie.
i have been trying to figure out what to do with the back seat cushion also. I just bought my 94 and i been looking for a way to fix the problem. If the fixed cushion was more narrow the back of the seat could fit under it, however it still isn't as solid as when it was at the original height. The pasenger side has the latch and the driver side has the rubber stopper.
I have been thinking about taking the riser kit out and putting the seat back to the original hieght.
I have been wanted to put some subs and other speakers in my truck, but keep it somewhat stock looking, that may be the way to keep it somewhat stock looking.
Ok as for the back cusion, I cut mine in half. I left the top alone and pulled the material loose at the bottom. Them cut the plastic back and foam off about half way. Then I pulled the material back tight around the bottom of what was left and glued it in place. There was alot of material left that I just trimmed off. The plastic posts that hold it to the rear of the cab were still in it, I cut below them, so I was able to snap it back in place. I think it looks real good. Oh yea, one more thing. the lock on the side. I just pulled the loop off the seat and it folded back tight against the rear of the cab it just doesn't lock into place anymore. Hope this helps. Hippie.
I have done the same as Hippie including the catch for the latch the new height is perfect for my sons - they can now see out the front - The seat back works out well and I have no regrets
