With all the snow we have be getting here in KCK I have noticed that I'm getting a lot of wheel hop from the back end. So far when I have looked wheel hop is a symptom of axle wrap which could lead to breaking drive line parts.
So the question is the best fix for Axle Wrap for a guy without a welder?
Wheel hop is a problem on dry pavement when the instant on/off traction loads parts of the truck up. I wouldn't expect a lot of wheel hop on snow when there is little traction. When are you getting the hop? Do you have weight in the bed of that beast?
i dont think your getting axle wrap at a constant speed on the road. Might be worth measuring the wheel base on the left and right and see if the axles are parallel. Really worn out shocks, etc.

I get most of the hop when transferring from snow to dry road and I have maybe 200 lbs or so of ballast in the bed.
