Hi
Just joined your great site. I have 04 fx4. After I switch out of 4 wheel drive the left wheel scrubs on left hand turns like the hub is still engaged.
Has anyone else experienced this or any suggestions to correct this
Thanks
Mike
Try this....after disengaging four wheel drive, try backing up in a straight line about 50 feet or so. This will usually reduce any binding in the drivetrain which can forcefully keep gears meshed together (rather then disengaging).
It will all depend on how much you use your 4x4. I try to use it once a month to help keep things moving and reduce the binding action. Not all of us do that but it has kept things going well in mine so far.
