I just can't get into that "patina" thing..maybe I have had to drive too many beaters in my past...that rust in the bed would not work for me..but I like the stance! I'm not a whitewall fan either, I like plain black sidewalls no white letters even, but that's just me! No offense to anyone who disagrees with me!
Any Monkey Face is a nice truck but please, paint it. I really don't like the patina look unless it was just pulled out of a barn and is being worked on. I just don't understand the faux patina. If you're going through that much work make it look like something presentable.

Patina is a SW thing. Up in Illinois or WI, that truck would turn to powder in a couple months. In the SW it will stay looking like that for 20 yrs. You guys see it as on its way to decay, we see it as the condition that any car in the SW achieves after 20 yrs in the sun. It won't get much worse, and it would cost mega bucks to make it pretty. I wouldn't change a thing, if I could have found one like that, I'd have a bunch of money in the bank and a couple years of my life back.
i like the "patina" too,but none of the younger kids called that before 'rat rods''started to get famous...today rat rod and patina are the mainstream thing in the underworld of hotrodding....i like vintage guns and coins and on those items when you scrape the patina or dirt of of them you actually take away its value and history...i like old trucks and cars patina or a needless 15 000.00 dollar paint job as long as people rescue these gems
I like it too.
I have seen some up here in the northwest that had a clear finish on them to preserve the pitina. If I was lucky enough to find one with insignia on the doors or wherever, that is how I would leave it.
