heater help

I just painted one of our old tractors with the air gun. How long should I wait to turn on my kerosene heater? I painted it inside a small out building roughly the size of a one car garage which I turned into a makeshift paint booth. I have never painted in the cold weather before so I have never had to worry about running a heater.

Thanks so much!

I finished painting a 6:30 btw

I use propane heaters to warm my garage before painting and my method is to turn the heaters on, let the shop get to 70+ degrees, then mix the paint and load the gun with the heater on. Once I'm ready to spray, I shut the heaters off, then spray. When I'm done, I clean the gun, which takes me about 20 minutes or so, then turn the heaters back on and leave. Modern HVLP guns don't leave as much product in the air as the older siphon guns and even with my cheap box fan being the only ventilation/air mover in the shop, it still clears the air by the time I clean the gun.

thanks sandman. I am using one of the siphon guns, but after an hour it seemed to be pretty good. Thanks again for the reply!
