Rear Bumper

A few days ago I pulled out another ford using a chain and the ball that was on the bumper. I have a 98 xlt 4x4 with the towing and offroad packages. So I assumed the bumper was pretty strong. Last night have to run to walmart to get some supplies. Coming out the store my back looked "funny" Sure enough, the the drivers side half is bent slightly up. Is it fixable? I'll put up some pics later.

Read the rating marked on the bumper. It's not much. Pulling out a stuck truck is a lot different than towing a small trailer. Thats why you see so many of them bent.

Without some heavy hydraulic pressure , you will most likely need to replace it if it is bent in the center ...

If you can post a pic....I have retweeked a few bumpers, so depending on where it can be fixed. This is one more reason why frame mounted hitches are all I would ever use.
