anyone using E3 sparkplugs

My 2002 v10 is due for new sparkplugs. I was wondering if anyone here is using the new E3 sparkplugs. Are they all hype like the splitfire plugs were when they came out, or are the E3s worth buying. I bought a set of splitfires when the came out, and it was a waste of money. I was also thinking about buying some of those Accel silver sparkplugs, I saw those for sale on summitracings websight.

Waste of money, just like the Splitfires. Motorcraft or Autolite plugs work the best.

Like dkf said, Motorcraft or Autolite. Any other brand is a waste of money.

I did some recon on those plugs a few months ago. They don't seem to be better, and many posts I found said they didn't last very long.

They are made in China also. (At least the small engine plug I bought to try was)

I had them on a Craparado that I had and I will swear up and down they made a slight difference in mpg's. Was it worth the cost, dunno because they were in there when I bought the truck, but when I put new and different ones in, I got about a .5 less per gallon, hand calculated.

Read the thread "sad V10 owner". I think I would stick to Motorcraft. I think you need to match heat range right in this truck or **** happens.

Thanks for the replies. Basically, what you're telling me, is to stick with Motorcraft? Ive always had good luck with Accel Plugs in my 460s and 390s. But with the v10 I own, I think I'll stick to Motorcraft.

The ignition system in these is strong enough to work perfectly well with just about any plug.

Motorcrafts are extremely reliable, inexpensive, readily available. Perfect.

ANY "snakeoil" plug will perform better if you use them to replace seriously worn out plugs. Heck, that's how the marketing slimebal....errr.... experts arrange for those neat numbers to use in the ads.

Replace a good motorcraft with snakeoil plug? I GUARANTEE you will NOT see any repeatable positive improvements.

Iridium or double platinum (on both electrodes) will last longer without maintenance, but I change ANY steel plugs in aluminum heads at 50K miles anyways to avoid thread seizures.
