302 to 400 small block

302 to 400 small block

I was just wondering what i would all have todo to put in a 400 small block? I got a 1978 f150 with 302 and a 4 speed manual.. Just wondering if i can make a 400 work..

From what I have read the trans from a 302 wont bolt up to a 400. The bellhousing holes are designed to bolt up with the big block trans on the 351M/400.

Sick of putting money in... Idk if I got a bad valve or timing I can't figure it out, ima do some more tinkering with timing but it shudders when ya gas on it and back fires

If you're sinking money in it now, go ahead and have it rebuilt and not worry about it for awhile.
