Not to start a flame and blame thread but do people seriously buy something like this?
Ford : F-350 - eBay (item 330519454999 end time Jan-21-11 12:32:56 PST)
I mean, the bed it almost useless so what do people do after buying something like this? I’m kind of curious. Seriously, I need to know what makes a person spend sports car money on something that is not. I can understand a shop building it to show what they can do and to attract potential clients but what would someone like you and I do with something like this? It's nto like I can tow 40K Lbs with it.

It will probably eventually be crawling a mall somewhere in the states, probably SoCal.
The guys that built the truck probably got a lot of parts donated or at a steep discount. Ugly worthless trucks like this is what you are helping to pay for when you buy parts from a lot of aftermarket companies.

I used to live right down the road from this guy's shop, the funny part is, it was a tiny little place when I lived there. He obviously has done better for himself since I lived there. I was there from 04'-06' getting my EE degree at a local school, so I haven't been there for 5 years or so. I hope he manages to sell it, there is a LOT of rich people around there. I met Kurt Angle there, and found out he lived practically across the street from me-like a mile away.

I like most of the truck, so I don't like all of it. I can't see anyone buying it, unless they have so much money that they don't know what to do with it. Heck, if you buy that truck, would you be affraid of getting it dirty? It looked like there wasn't a speck of dirt on it. I am always on Ebay, and I have an 01 F250, so I do searches for the same year as mine.

This next auction ended. Look what he wanted for it. I can't even imagine someone even buying it.

Looks like pure advertising to me. The first paragraph of the listing says it all:
"This custom show truck was built at XXXXXXXX in Moon Township, PA for the store owner. You can call the shop for additional details on this truck at XXX-XXX-XXXX. We build custom cars and trucks the way you want it so if you are looking to customize a new ride for yourself, give us a call and see what we can do for you. "
The page had 1104 views when I looked at it. I don't know what the listing fee for that is (when it doesn't sell!) but I'm willing to bet between the ad (I mean auction listing) and the forum exposure it generates he's getting a pretty good return on his investment!
