Clutch problem...

I make it out to be 27,000 miles since the last clutch; seems a little low for it to need replacing. Maybe there's something else going on, like a bad rear main seal that's soaked the clutch disc in oil.

It sounds like you want a different tranny anyway - maybe just find one and slam it in with a new clutch pack.

No clues where to get a clutch pack for your current setup, other than the obvious. I'm pretty much a NAPA guy; they do seem to "Get the Good Stuff". A mechanic friend of mine doen't like getting ripped off by NAPA and gets a lot of his stuff from Advance Auto. Maybe search "aftermarket clutch" and see what you get.
