mine or obs?

my friend is offering me his 96 cc f350 drw for my truck. i like the body style of mine more but i also like the cc. his has 205k and a 5spd. mine has 282k and auto. i prefer the auto but.... his truck is bone stock too. im not real sure if we will trade. ......i guess im looking for input from the powerstroke gods. what do yall think?????????

his truck is super clean and in real good shape for a 96. its all red....something else im not a fan of.. red interior

It all depends what you like better. Both trucks are worth about the same. I've had two of each and I like the obs body style better but not a fan if obs drws but the sd is alot more comfortable to me. Also looks like you did alot of work to your truck. That's a tough one! I think id have to keep the sd but that's just me

Unless his a 4x4, keep yours... mine has 300k and is still running good. Doesn't burn any oil and hardly leaks a drop. You've still got a ton of life left in yours and besides, there are a few nice options and perks the Super-Duties came with that the OBS trucks didn't. Also, the OBS truck weren't intercooled, not did they have quite the output that ours do. On plus is that the OBS does have single-shot injectors and will likely yield better mileage, especially with that hand shaker. Just my $.02...

keep yours, I know you're itching for the 2wd, but keep your truck. It is worth it.

I wouldnt even think of an obs, but thats just me. I drive a 96 dually PSD for work sometimes, its Superchipped with an ATS trans, and I absolutely cant stand it. its a dog compared to my truck (when my truck was still stock)
But its your desision, I would look for a crewcab 99+, I wouldnt take a step backwards.
Just my .02

The rule of thumb I go by is If there is ANY (and I mean ANY) Thing I don't like about it I don't buy it.

I'd stay with your truck...if you're gonna trade, don't compromise.
