What is a Remote Start Activation (-) input

I am trying to get my Omega remote start working and tech support sent me an email telling me I needed to hookup the White/Blue Wire -Remote Start Activation (-) input. The book says:

White/Blue Wire - Remote Start Activation (-) Input
This input will activate the system’s remote start function when it receives a negative
pulse. Another pulse during remote start operation will turn off the remote start.
CONNECTION:
Connect this wire to any device that you desire to activate the
remote start feature. It requires a negative pulse input.

I don't have a clue what this is.

Any ideas?

Thanks

That sounds like you don't have a RS button on the fob. I remember directed had a system you could add on and use the OE fob. Basically you hooked it into the door locks so when you double tapped the lock, it would start the engine.

Do you have a fob with button for remote start?

Correct, I am using the OE remote. It does not have a Start button. My RS is set up to use Lock-Unlock-Lock

The power lock wire already pulses ground, so you should be able to tie right into it. Ford does use a sleep mode on some vehicles so a diode may be necessary.
