Guess E4OD going to chit

just pulled the pan to service it and found this can anyone tell me what it's coming off of. 62k on it in the middle of the pic the one that looks like a V it's a little smaller than a dime

Don't know for sure. Is there a magnet in your pan? When I pulled mine last year it had quite a bit of filings on the magnet but nothing that looked like that..

Yea it's got a magnet and it had it's normal goop on it trans was built 3years ago and only has 62kon it and now out of warranty go figure but it shifts fine does not slip i'm gonna run it till it quits and then go BTS or a 5 speed swap

When you dropped the fluid, was it pretty sparkly? Did it have lots of silver flakes in it as well?

Very hard to say. However, sometimes transmission shops don't do a great job at flushing out a transmission when they rebuild it and bits and pieces of it can show up in the pan later. That could be the case with yours since you say it's shifting fine. I'd let it go until summer and drop the pan again to see how it looks.

I wonder if it was something from the last build cause i went and banged on it hard and it shifts fine and doesn't slip i even did a 11psi boost take off and all was good
