Block swap queston

I put 4 inch blocks plus an add a leaf in my 250 replacing the 2inch blocks. the new blocks had some taper. I have the 02 extended cab long bed PS with the two peice drive shaft. I now get a vibration on hard take off and am trying to figure out if all i need to do is drop the carrier bearing or if this problem is caused from the tapered blocks. could the tapered blocks be causing this or is it all the angles at the carrier bearing? the lift was only about 4 inches. Any help is greatly appricated.

The taper in the block is to point the rear end up(shorter side forward) to the carrier and get you the correct angle of the drive line. They say that you should drop the carrier ~ 1/4" for every inch of lift, I believe. They make a kit for this. I have one and am going to install with my 4"lift next weekend. I am planning on measuring the yokes or whatever I can to see if I can get it back to the same angle (ish) as when stock.

Thanks I went up 3.5 inches and so far have dropped 1 inch, it is allmost gone but still a little on real hard takeoff. Im really interested in finding out how much you have to drop your carrier bearing. I have heard a few folks say they actually had to go 1.5 inches of drop to eliminate all vibration on the 4 inch lift. please keep me posted.
