They are not Motorcraft. I almost fell for that too. I have that exact seller saved on my Ebay watch list. Buy them and let me know how it works out for you.....Like I said....im sure they will last for a little while. Im not guessing here. I have been down this road many times on customer vehicles...If you cant afford the Motorcraft then I guess you have no choice. Was just trying to save you some problems in the future.

Got some new information on the whole situation. I ran the codes again on the truck today, after it started to sputter and act up when I drove it for the first time today. I the codes showed only three. It showed "System to Lean: Bank 2" which is what I had been going before. Then it showed the " rear O2 Sensor on bank 2" was bad supposedly. The other code is the speed sensor in the rear end, not concerned with that. Got it ordered waiting for it to come in.
The truck only acts up first time its been started for the day. It only does it under acceleration, once the truck warms up the sputtering, and hesitation quits. Today the engine light didn't flash or nothing, its just on. Is it possible a bad rear o2 sensor would cause the truck to run in a lean condition, thus causing it to starve bank 2 of fuel? Like I said the truck from what I can tell runs perfect once its warmed up good.
Any other suggestions on this would be excellent...
Ran seafoam through the booster, put some lucas in it. Ordered me a throttle body gasket to replace the old one when I take it off. Got some MAF cleaner... plan to clean the whole TB out good. Today I fired it up. It didn't miss until I drove about half a mile. Then even at the stop light I could fill the surge in it.
Its either the coils or an O2 sensor. I guess it could be an injector to but I don't see how... I didn't think an O2 sensor could cause this. All I know is once the truck is warmed up real good the issue goes away. Until it does it runs like ***. Its not popping and sputtering, now its just making a funny noise like only half the motor is running... when it does it, and it doesn't have a lot of get up and go. What do you guys think?
The rear O2 sensors are nothing more than catalyst efficiency sensors. They cannot make the engine misfire. The proper way to check them and the catalayic converters is to monitor the datalog on a scanner. The downstream sensors will follow the upstream. Switching from above 0.5volts to below 0.5 volts. When the downstream are not switching you have converter/sensor issues. That is how you can tell for sure. Not anyway around it other than a guess. They have no effect on the upstream sensors that are actually used for fuel control.
Well this one showed the rear O2 sensor. My cat was checked not to long and it was fine. I got an odd feeling that being that the issue comes only when the truck is cold, and seems to go away, that I got a coil or two braking down, or just not providing enough spark. Would that be a good guess ? I just put new plugs in it, so the plugs are fine. There has been a slight surge even in park, and drive sitting still. The truck hasn't gotten cold (sit the whole night) since I ran seafoam through, and put the injector cleaner in it. So have no clue if that will change anything. I am hoping it does, but I doubt it.
i would still lean towards one or maybe even a couple COPS being bad.
i replaced the gasket on my throttle body the other day when i took my TB off and cleaned the holy hell out of it. then i cleaned the MAF sensor.
Reason i done this? i changed the plugs and one of the COPS, because under WOT ( wide open throttle ) i got the bucking and backfiring through the intake and exhaust and would throw a flashing check engine light. so after i changed the plugs it low idled. would turn into my driveway and it would stall. so thats the reason i cleaned the above parts. how is it now you might ask? well its perfect now. now i can actually drive this damn thing and enjoy it.
Read the codes again, and cleared them. Started the truck after sitting all day. Runs fine at first. Then less then a half a mile down the road it begins to act like its being robbed of fuel under any acceleration at all. The codes are the same reporting a catalytic deficiency or something, and "system to lean bank 2" there is absolutely no misfires being detected at all. Once the truck begins is warm it doesn't do it at all that I can tell.
I am having my doubts on this being a coil since its showing no misfire at all. Anyone have any suggestions?
You also mention a system lean bank 2 code? Im assuming this was a code p0171 or p0174? If so, this code has priority over all others. Lean codes can trigger all kinds of other codes. And are usually caused by a loose pcv line on the valvecover or vacuum line due to someone recently working under the hood. Correct way to find this is to monitor the fuel trim tables/datalog on a scanner. Short and long term fuel trim will tell the tale of what is going on with issues like this. Weather it is something simple as a vacuum line or more serious like a leaking intake gasket....
Taking it to my mechanic.. He is leaning towards an in-take gasket since it goes away when its warm, and only comes back after the truck has sit a long time. Which means that its shrinking, cause the leak again. He don't think its the catalytic convert, and he said it could also be a vacuum leak. I doubt the valve cover is the cause, no oil leaking that I can see. So going to have him keep it over night and jump in it and take it out for a spin in drivability mode, and find out what its doing.
Not the valve cover. The Pcv line that hooks into it. If it is loose and open to atmosphere it causes a vacuum leak and lean codes. But im sure he knows that...good luck.
