Brake problem

95 psd 5 spd .today I'm driving my truck and I feel like it lost power and my parking feels weird so I stop for coffee at local 7-11 I walk around to see if I smell any brakes and my rear driver side wheel smells like brakes since I have drums what u guy suggest ? You guys think maybe the emergancy brake didn't release it self frozen from weather it's only 30f here help me out here

Yeah, it's your left rear parking brake cable. Not uncommon for one side to jam up, either from the cold or from rust.

One trick might work until you can replace the cable: cut it off just a few inches outside of the backing plate it goes through. The idea is that the jam-up is most likely further up in the cable, and the springs will release the parking brake, but the stuck cable will keep the tension on the whole setup upstream. This way, you still have a parking brake on the other side. We did this when the right-side cable froze on our RCLB last winter, on the road, friggin' degrees below zero, that was the quick solution that got us home.

Yup you were rite I replace the ebrake lines both left and rite problem gone thank you
