Diamond plate-not genuine Ford. The Ford step bumpers have a diamond "no slip" pattern on the top.
Unless you really want it, ditch the step bumper, install the contoured chrome rear bumper instead. It's been reproduced, available from Dennis Carpenter (800-476-9653-order a catalog, it's free).

replaced exhaust manifold
went to the shop tonight and took off the right side exhaust maniold due to crack and needs gasket, found one today at a junkyard for 35 bucks. surprisingly all the bolts came out fairly easy, just have to remove the 2 nuts for the exhaust. think that I will put never seize on the new bolts and put new studs in the manifold while I am at it...

this thing has not even been de-smogged, all the vacuum lines are still hooked up, I might have to try my hand at restoring this one. I love it already. don't get me wrong, I still love ch***, but hey I am open to all makes- as long as american.
