Man am I completely bumbed!!!!
Put the truck on the road today after a hit and miss 11 year project except for the last STRAIGHT four months of EVERY night and ALL weekend EVERY weekend of money dumping and knuckle busting and I DO NOT LIKE MY TRUCK but it sure looks pprreettyy!
Don't know if its cause I drive a 97 f-350 crew diesel every day or what.
The looks and the thumbs up were what I expected but there is something missing and it doesn't feel right.
Its like a hot rod that can only be driven on nice days and to parades feeling.
Almost considering putting it on flea-bay
DAMN IT!!!!!
Has anyone else felt like this?
It is the time spent working on it you miss. That is why you do not like it. Me being the nice guy that I am, will suck it up on my end and trade you another project truck dead even, I will not even ask you for any cash on top.
Really it is the challenge of the built!!! I have been there. My last one was not even finished and it went to Florida.
You know what Ya'll are right there, its like my title says, now what, I've busted my *** to get here and its like O.K., what do I do to it now? I even was telling my neighbor today "well its time to start on the 79 bronco"
I like the challenge and the garage time, but was expecting more out of the ride????
I can relate.. ..I only drive my 71 convertible in the spring and summer and I cringe when driving over a wet gutter cuz I busted my azz cleaning and detailing the underside. Meanwhile, it's a garage queen.
Maybe next project should be a total sleeper (faded & thin paint, comfy but old seats, AM radio, and a gun rack) but with 600 hp nestled in a well-detailed engine compartment. HINT!!!!
