The vinyl tape is going to get gooey, so I think I will vacuum-form a proper daylight sensor cover at TechShop (TechShop is the SF Bay Area's Only Open-Access Public Workshop -- What Do You Want To Make at TechShop?). I have two TechShop locations that are near me (TechShop Menlo Park CA and TechShop San Francisco CA, plus TechShop San Jose CA opening this summer).

I really just need to get my hands on a wiring diagram and I could figure it out. On my F250, there is a switched ground (relay) that the high beams/fog lights share and only one set of lights can get the ground at a time. It was as simple as giving the fog lights a permanent ground so they operate independently of the high beams.
I love being able to utilize high beams with fogs, it really lights up the road at night and I still have the factory look of my truck.

It seems that in the 2007-2012 Expeditions they have the Fog relay (Integral) inside the Smart Junction Box. That's just a deducted guess, I'm not 100% sure but If you think you'd be able to figure it out, I can get you all the diagrams you need.
