I think whatever powers it be for your guys’s existence
I found a couple of guides in here that were really helpful or at least ones that steered me in the right direction to do my own gauge swap from idiot lights to full gauges even though I have no need for all four I really only need the fuel and the temperature. I just need to be able to use the van and after following your guides I was able to get everything to work with the exception of the charging system. I rewired everything the way that all of you guys said, despite the fact that my wires were so far bleached in color due to the dash being open that I really couldn’t tell what was what But a couple of you guys pointed out, potentially swapping the red and green off of the eye terminal with the other wires at the voltage regulator, which got me thinking of which ones I had running where and which ones I had splice together turns out that red and green wire that originally went to the idiot light was so far white I didn’t even see it is green anymore, and I had captain thinking that it was an unnecessary wire Sure enough as soon as I placed that back into bypass the bulb would’ve been. I started charging at 14.1 V again after 3 1/2 weeks of pulling my hair out and having to tow myself back to the house multiple times because my battery died in a drive-through or parking lot or in the middle of traffic. You guys have just saved me hundreds of dollars on switching back to an idiot – or going and getting a bunch of wire harnesses to update everything now I can’t bring myself the part with this van, knowing that I could actually drive it without worrying about getting myself stuck so thank all of you every single one of you who posted in this forum. If you ever find yourself in Colorado, I’m buying all of you at dinner on me thank God.
Good to hear you were able to use the info in here to do the swap on the van and a little set back with charging you even got that fixed well done
