ranger clutch problem

So when i let my clutch out on my truck it makes a loud screach noise.
Im not sure if it is my clutch cause it does let out really late (so im going to have to replace it sometime) but im not sure if i get a new clutch that will fix the noise. it may be my throwout bearing but im unsure how to tell if that is it. The noise only happens when im in my low gears or when i let my clutch out fast!
My truck is a 98 with the v6 3.0
Thanks!!!

Bottom line - if it is a clutch related problem (which it sound like it is - your throw out bearing is probably worn and not rotating and causing friction on your pressure plate) - replace all components - clutch, pressure plate, slave cylinder (which will have a new throw out bearing attached), and pilot bearing.

Also get flywheel resurfaced if necessary. There is no need to cut corners here as those upper bolts on the transmission are a pain the butt to mess with. Cutting corners could translate into doing it all over very soon.

To verify it is the clutch and get a better picture of things observe the action of the throw out bearing through the inspection port on the bell housing. There is a rubber stopper, that when removed, allows observation of the throw out bearning - pressure plate combination. You could have someone operate the clutch in the truck while observing underneath - all while the truck is in neutral with the emergency break on of course.
