351 windsor rebuild

i wantin to rebuild a 92 351 windsor for my dads truck and he wants power and reliability. i know the parts i need to get but im needin advice on brands for longevity and whats going to give power thats not too overwhelming. i appreciate all answers.

give us some info on the truck, how its used and what power expectations your dad has. you will have some restrictions due to what the EFI can handle but this can be dealt with and still obtain great results.

its just a old work truck. he wants enough power to get up and GO but dont wanna be gettin pulled over every mile.

a stock rebuild should be sufficent. work with your local machine shop on what parts to get. Headers, aftermarket or custome y pipe and hi flow cat with a 3" exhaust will help also

IF you have a bit of extra cash to spend on the build look to see if you can find some GT40 iron heads for sale. You have to rebuild your heads anyway so if you can find these heads and even if they need a rebuild your only out the cost of the heads. They have bigger valves and ports and will help out a 351.
