How to read a Vin#

I am looking for a used 2008 6.4. How can I tell what Job it is and what rear end. I am looking for the 3.55 I know Job 1's had the 3.73.

well when i bought my 08' i did some research... job 1's had a external trans filter located underneath the bell housing, between the engine and trans, and did not have tire pressure warning system. job#2 did away with the external trans filter and still did not have the tire pressure warning system. job#3 has the tire pressure system. for the axle ratio codes you can find them on the drivers door sticker. my 08' ford service manual lists no 3:55 axle ratio but the codes are: 37= 3:73, 3l= 3:73ls...41= 4:10, 4n= 4:10 ls. theres more codes for the lower ratios but i know your not interested in the lower ratios, if my memory serves me correct 3:55's dident come out untill model year 09 or 2010'
