I have a 66 f-100 352 3 on the tree. What type and how much oil should i use in the transmission. Is there any tricks or tips when i change it. Any help would be great.
Well the choise is yours. It's mostly climate dependant. 80-90 gear oil will work fine if your in a place where its 40F and higher. Under 40F factory says 50w motor oil can be used. I've used mobil one 0-5w in one trany that was "on it way out" when i got it funny thing the noise whent away and it shifted fine. I put over 80,000 miles on the trany and it was fine when i sold the truck.
My choise for my 65 f100 as i tow with it and it gets cold here (-8F this morning) was 50w motor oil with a can of Tuf-Oil additive. Shifts like butter.
