i have a 1989 f-150 5.8 here's the problem my idle is really high i have replaced the tsp and the iac but when i frist replaced the tsp the idle went to normal but in a few mins it got high again . so any idea whats going on ????
how high?! check the voltage to TPS and check for vaccum leaks also....trace all lines. I have the same problem, however I got the code which pointed me in the direction of the TPS.
One thing i found to cause a high idle is the water temp. sender that goes to the computer. Didn't want to spend $$ on that stupid thing, so i crossed up the wires. No more high idle.
