You might be thinking of the limited slip detroit true trac. I don't think any locker will have the slip in it to enable going around corners.
You can look on eaton's web page for availability.
Here is summit racing's take on them. Eaton Detroit Truetrac Differentials - SummitRacing.com
Truetrac for front axle 2021 CCSB 6.7 SRW King Ranch
I would like to get rid of some or all of the axle wind up in making a four-wheel-drive turn on asphalt. Of course, if there is snow, no problem. But it's annoying having to take it in and out of four-wheel-drive as I go in and out of snowy patches on the road. I am jealous of the full-time AWD on my wife's Buick Enclave. I know full-time AWD is unsuitable for an SD truck - but a Truetrac might get me closer. I rarely go off road, and never plan to climb rocks.
But it seems I am unable to get a Truetrac for my truck. None of the online configurator's throw up an option – and my email to Trutrac themselves got no reply. So I suspect I have a 50 spline axle upfront, but need a 60 spline one. So to have a Truetrac, how much of the front end do I need to replace?
True Trac or open diffs doesn't matter. You don't have a central differential and therfore you will always have wind up and other issues on hard surfaces.
