I need to take a look at mine. I plug it into a GFCI plug and when I plug it in it trips the breaker in the receptacle. I know I have a short just have to trace it down. So far I havent had any trouble starting in the current weather, therefore I haven't taken the time to find the bad wire.

GFCI
Is that a 15 amp or 20 amp gfi breaker? My 20 will run 1 truck, but blows when the second truck is plugged in. Being giant resistors, block heaters really pizz off gfi circuits, both of my trucks would blow the 15 amp gfi, one being a yota that i do not think has the same draw, although i never tested it to see what it draws.
beyond that, breakers do wear out, as well as the block heaters, but typically the block heaters go to "open" and draw nothing when toast. tracte the wire on the block heater, if it is ok, check/replace breaker possibly.

Is the EBPV the reason my truck will barely move when cold? I don't romp on my truck before it warms up, but pulling out of the parking lot at the office, after being parked on a cold day, my 7.3 accelerates like a worn out Chevy Chevette with a slipping automatic. It'll barely move. After a few minutes, it tools right along.
