I am looking to rebuild a 351m and place it in an 84 f-150. I plan to change the crank out and pistons to make it the 400 and had figured the aussie 302c 2v heads were probably the way to go. I have been trying to find a build for this engine that would be perfect for a blower setup but have been unsuccessful. What would need to be done to run a supercharger and what type of power can be expected. This setup is wanted for street/strip use. Please any help would be a great help. Also if anyone can include an all motor build and power expectations so we can compare. Also one last thing. I seen somewhere before where someone stated that not much over 400 hp can be expected with these aussie heads. If true why? And what would be a better route wit the heads. Thanks in advance
The only big thing about the Aussie heads is the higher comp. something you wouldn't need with the blower other than that they are just a 2v head. You might want to try the open chamber 4v heads with a blower, bigger ports and valves with a open chamber.
Hi burnem, I haven't seen nor heard anyone doing this set up and I have to agree with the previous member that the Aussie heads are not the way to go. I would check out Tim Meyers Precision Machining, he's the guru on the 351M/400 and a supporting member here. If anyone can help you it 'll be Tim. John
dyers blowers. believe its www.dyersblower.com or service. just google and it will pop up. they've been building for a long time. He will answer all questions. My next question is tranny and frame disasters once blower is installed??
Thanks for the info wyoming4x4, didn't realize that there was a company by that name. Good to know though and I will put them on my performance list. JOHN
