What would be the best code reader for someone that is not all that savvy on electronics, one that would be user friendly and able to use on my 96 f-350 PSD andf also could it work on the wifes 02 Tahoe?
thanks RB
Two different beast - the PSD is OBDI and the '02 is OBDII.
I'd suggest an autoenginuity device you use in conjunction with your laptop. You can buy a 'software bundle' that will let you read all the lower level info in both vehicles. Not hard to use.
It's not cheap but very cost-effective if you want to work on you own stuff.
Try ebay I got a Snap-On MT2500 for about 300 bucks with the personality key for Ford and GM. It had cartridges up to model year 2000. They also have different year cartridges and personality keys.
I don't know much about these scanners or scan gauges could anyone else just tell me what brand and model of a scanner I would need for my 96 PSD and if it would work for the 02 tahoe or would I be better off with two of them?
thanks RB
